Beannachtaí na Féile Páraic oraibh!
That's Irish for "Happy St. Patrick's Day"! I hope nobody got pinched today.
Today was a good day overall. We mostly relaxed, I went on a few walks with sisters, we all wore plenty of green, we munched on shamrock shaped sugar cookies.
My family's Irish and while my household doesn't celebrate very much, my relatives do. Typically there are parades and festivities to go to. Most of this year's parades were held yesterday because if people are busy at the parade, then how will they go to church on Sunday?
Yesterday, my uncle and his girlfriend took a trip down to Savannah, Georgia. It's a really nice town that celebrates St. Paddy's day with much gusto (I love that word...gusto). They went to their parade yesterday and today my uncle surprised his girlfriend...or should I say fiancé.
They got engaged! I'm very excited, my aunt-to-be is really sweet and I can't wait to start calling her "Aunt"! So within about a year I'll be attending their wedding.
Now, I'm not as wedding-obsessed as my good friend Kailey, however I do find proposals to be absolutely adorable. All in all, a really good St. Patrick's day. I hope yours was good too!
